Zizi Kodwa is the national spokesman of the African National Congress.
We spoke in his office in Luthuli house in downtown Johannesburg (please excuse the sporadic hooting). Our discussion covers Land reform, the ANC alignment with China and the upcoming local elections.

He previously held the position of South African Presidential Spokesperson from 2010 – 2011. He is a former Marketing Manager for Denel Swartklip Division and Spokesperson for the ANC Youth League (ANCYL).

Kodwa also serves on the Board of Trustees of the South Africa International Marketing Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree from the University of the Western Cape.

  1. Disappointing, I felt like there was an unwillingness to engage, critically with your questions. I guess this is true for all politicians which is why I enjoy the other interviews more. My question would be, if the ANC is not a socialist/communist party, why are they in an alliance
    with the SACP ?

  2. Yes, I wonder what an interview with some one like Tervor Manual would be like, maybe combined with Russel Lamberti.

I would have liked to have had more discussion on the ANC’s transition from liberator to governor, you touched on it and I would have enjoyed a more in depth discussion on the difficulties and challenges they are facing. It was interesting that he seemed to admit that this was something they were struggling with.
